I am wondering if Essential Oils can play a part in helping with h pylori, if so which oils?
Dr. Christoph Streicher answered this as follows:
H. pylori infection is common. About two-thirds of the world’s population has it in their bodies. For most people, it doesn’t cause ulcers or any other symptoms. If you have a problem and try to kill the bacteria, you are ultimately adressing the symptoms. Stress can be a major factor as well. There are a lot of stress management products on Amrita's web site that may help you. However, if you are wanting to kill the bacteria you need a very mild Essential Oil which does not do any harm to the GI tract. You can try Myrrh Essential Oil 3 drops, 3 times a day.
