We often get asked why the essential oil bottle is not filled to the top with essential oil. When we fill the bottles, we make sure that the actual quantity is supplied. The bottles are larger than the actual volume specified on the label. 

In terms of getting the drops to come out of the bottle, it is best to tilt it on its side (not upside down) and to wait for the drop to form.

Depending on the climate, CO2 essential oils can sometimes not be liquid at room temperature. If this is the case, simply run the closed bottle underneath water from the hot water tap for a couple of minutes in order to liquefy it. Please be careful not to burn yourself with the hot water. Alternatively you can slowly lower the bottle into a saucepan of boiling water for a couple of minutes, but be careful not to burn yourself or to let the bottle touch the bottom of the saucepan.

If an item is on backorder, you will receive it in a separate shipment as soon as it becomes available. Billing for backordered items occurs at the time of shipment. If you would like to cancel a backordered item, please contact our friendly customer service team at 1-800-410-9651.

If you ever buy a product from Amrita you are unhappy with, please return it for a refund or credit within 30 days of the ship date. You may also return unopened products for a refund or credit within 30 days of the ship date.

Please Note: Shipping charges are non-refundable, unless the return is a result of our error.

Returns are required to have a return authorization number issued by our office in order to be received by our warehouse.

Hassle-free Returns

In order to return an item, you must request a return authorization (RA#)  within 30 days of the ship date of the original order. If you would like to return an item, please call us toll-free at 1-800-410-9651 or email us at orders@amrita.net to obtain a return authorization, as well as  instructions on how to send your shipment back. Returns will not be refunded without a previously issued return authorization from our Customer Service department. You may be asked to supply visual confirmation of any damage, so that we can continue to improve our service.

When sending an item back, please note on the original packing slip which items you are returning and whether the item is unopened or used. In the case of an allergic reaction, please note on the packing slip brief details of the allergic reaction you experienced and which products you reacted to.

Your credit card will be refunded as soon as we receive your return shipment. Please allow up to 30 days for your refund to be processed.

Please Note: Original shipping charges are non-refundable. In the case of a return resulting from an allergic reaction, we ask you to bear the cost to ship the item back to us. If you wish to try a different product, we will pay the shipping to send the replacement item to you.

Unfortunately, we do not offer exchanges at this time for retail customers. If you have an unopened item in its original condition/packaging and would like to exchange it, please follow the above procedure to return it and get a refund; then place a new order for the new items you want. Exchanges for wholesale customers may be subject to a re-stocking fee.

If by mistake we ship you the wrong item, or the item you received is damaged, we will pay the cost to ship that item back to us or send a courier to pick up the item at our expense. We will ship the correct item to you at no additional cost.
