Flu season is slowly creeping up and this year is even scarier than ever, we have a long Fall and Winter season ahead of us. With Eucalyptus Radiata, Thyme Thujanol, Thyme Borneol and Niaouli, you can start preparing now. Essential Oils Suggestions for Cold and Flu Recovery

Eucalyptus Radiata:

Eucalyptus Radiata eases colds and congestion, the warming effect with this Essential Oil is helpful for soothing sore throats and breathing passages. It is good for treating and preventing cold, flus and any other Corona infection.

It may help with: Colds, Fevers, Flu, Sore Throat, Headaches, Nervous exhaustion, Neuralgia, Weakness, Fatigue, Depression, Inability to concentrate.

How to use:

Topical use: Dilute 2-4% in jojoba or hazelnut oil, (2% is most recommended, 1 teaspoon Eucalyptus Radiata to 1 cup of carrier oil

Colds/Bronchitis: Dilute 2-4% in jojoba or hazelnut oil and use as a chest or back rub, Diffusing for asthma, stuffy nose and sore throat

Safety Precautions: Poisonous if ingested even in small amounts. Can irritate skin if not diluted enough, well diluted is safe to use with children over four in reduced quantities.

Thyme Thujanol:

Thyme Thujanol is known for its antiseptic and its disinfectant properties, it may reduce infection, stimulate the immune system and relieve congestion. This essential oil has an incredibly vast and long-standing range of therapeutic and medicinal benefits, it has been used to help concerns relating to respiratory, digestive and circulatory systems, as well as to relieve muscle and joint pain. How to Use:

Now Thyme Thujanol, is one of the few EOs where we recommend internal use when an infection has taken place:

3 – 4 drops 3 times a day, dilute with at least the same amount of olive oil, under the tongue, leave them as long as possible, then swallow. Continue until symptoms subside. Do not use longer than 10 days.

Safety Precautions: Generally nontoxic and non-irritant, with less possibility of sensitization. Safe for use on skin: however use in moderation and dilute before use. Must be diluted with olive oil before ingesting. Never take any other thyme internally.

Thyme Borneol:

Thyme Borneol like other Thymes is commonly known for its germicidal properties, this essential oil contains a lot of Borneol, which is said to be a powerful immune stimulant. Used to treat respiratory, digestive and circulatory concerns also relieves muscle and joint pain.

It may help with: Asthma, Bronchitis, Catarrh, Coughs, Laryngitis, Sinusitis, Colds, Flu, Infections, Sore Throat, Muscle aches and pains, Headaches, Poor circulation, Rheumatism, Sprains, Insomnia, Exhaustion

How to use:

Fatigue and Insomnia: Whole body massage or Aromatic bath

Cold and Flu Symptoms: Compress, Topical application (% dilute), steam inhalation, direct inhalation, diffuser.

Safety Precautions: Avoid during pregnancy and on sensitive skin, use in moderation.

Niaouli:

Niaouli may help fight infection and is also helpful for allergies, headaches and skin care. Niaouli contains the infection-fighting properties of Tea Tree and Eucalyptus. Niaouli aroma is mellow enough to use for direct inhalation even for someone with allergies.

It may help with: Asthma, Bronchitis, Catarrh, Coughs, Laryngitis, Sinusitis, Colds, Flu, Infections, Sore Throat, Muscle aches and pains, Headaches, Poor circulation, Rheumatism, Sprains, Insomnia, Exhaustion

How to use:

Topical Application: sore muscles or a chest rub: dilute 1 teaspoon of Niaouli in 1 cup of carrier oil (10 drops in 1 tablespoon)

Colds and Cough: direct inhalation from a diffuser

Safety Precautions: non-toxic, non-irritant, non-sensitizing
